Smoked pork and pineapple in cream sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg smoked pork, lean and boneless
  • 250 g cheese (Edam)
  • 1 can pineapple
  • 2 cups of cream
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 80 ml ketchup
  • Pepper, from the mill
  • Fat, for the casserole dish

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Cut the smoked pork into slices, about 1 cm thick. Drain the pineapple, and lightly grease the baking dish. Now place a slice of pineapple between each slice of smoked pork in the baking dish, followed by a slice of Edam cheese. Mix the cream, sour cream, and ketchup together and pour it into the baking dish. Do not pour it over the meat, but rather on the side. Place the dish in the oven and bake at 180°C for about 45 minutes. My guests have always loved it.
