Red currant vinegar

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g currants, red
  • 300 g sugar
  • 10 peppercorns
  • ¾ liter balsamic vinegar, white

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Wash the berries and remove the stems. Bring the vinegar to a boil with the sugar and peppercorns. Add the berries and simmer gently for 5 minutes. Let the mixture cool slightly. Then strain through a sieve and bottle. Store in a dark place.
