Cod in Gorgonzola cream sauce

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 500 g cod fillet(s)
  • 200g Gorgonzola
  • 1 lemon(s)
  • 2 onions
  • 250 g tomatoes
  • 1 carrot(s)
  • 1 small cucumber(s)
  • 125 ml milk
  • 250 ml cream
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Chop the tomatoes, onions, carrot, and cucumber and sauté. Add the Gorgonzola, milk, cream, and mustard and simmer for a few minutes. Season the sauce with paprika, salt, and pepper, if desired. Season the cod with paprika, salt, and pepper. Drizzle the cod fillet with lemon juice and fry for 4 minutes on each side. Turn only once, as the fish will otherwise fall apart easily. After frying, drizzle the fish with more lemon juice. Serve the cod with the sauce. Serve with potatoes or tagliatelle.
