Pan-fried shashlik with noodles or rice

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • salt and pepper
  • 3 onions
  • 6 bell peppers
  • 4 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 3 tsp curry powder
  • 6 tbsp ketchup
  • 6 tbsp tomato paste
  • 450 ml water
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • e.g. pasta or rice
  • 900 g turkey breast fillet(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

A delicious and quickly prepared shashlik from the pan.

Cook the noodles or rice in salted water according to the package instructions. Cut the turkey cutlets into strips, the onion into wedges, and the bell pepper into cubes. Heat the oil in a pan. Sear the meat until crisp. Season with salt and pepper and remove. Sauté the onion wedges, diced bell pepper, and curry powder in the pan’s drippings. Add the ketchup, tomato paste, water, and vinegar. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add the meat, heat through, and season to taste. Enjoy with rice or noodles.
