Filo's

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 sheets of pasta (filo pastry) ready bought
  • some olive oil
  • 2 tbsp, leveled salt
  • Thyme
  • rosemary

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Snack, chip substitute, with soup or as a starter, for parties, etc.

You can buy ready-made filo dough in larger supermarkets – it’s important for this recipe that it’s super thin. Simply take a sheet of dough and brush it with olive oil. Then sprinkle on the seasonings to taste. Then place the second filo sheet on top and press down firmly – I always roll over it 2-3 times with my rolling pin. Now cut the whole thing into strips about 2 cm wide and maybe again in half so that the filo sticks aren’t too long or thick. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and place the sticks on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in the oven at 200 degrees Celsius for about 10 minutes. When the sticks are lightly browned, they’re ready. As a snack at parties (simply place them in a glass) or as a side dish to soups.
