tomato cheese sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 2 can/n tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 10 g parsley, frozen
  • 1 tsp bouillon (beef bouillon)
  • 250 g sausage (hunting sausage)
  • 100 g cheese
  • 1 onion(s), red
  • 10 g oregano, frozen
  • 10 g basil, frozen
  • 1 tsp honey or sugar
  • 1 dash of ketchup
  • 1 tsp tomato paste

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

Dice the onions and fry them in a pan with a little oil until translucent. Dice the sausage and fry them slowly. I sprinkle them with beef stock, which creates a delicious crust. Add the tomatoes to the translucently fried onions, season with salt and pepper, and let it simmer. Add a dash of ketchup, the tomato paste, and the cheese to the sauce and puree. It should become a creamy sauce. Now add the garlic, oregano, parsley, 1 teaspoon of honey, and basil, season with salt and pepper, and stir well. Since the cheese tends to settle to the bottom, the sauce should be pureed at least once more. Then add the sausage to the sauce. I recommend letting the sauce sit for another hour.
