Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 130 g flour + 1/2 baking powder
  • 90 g cornstarch (maizena)
  • 120 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 2 bananas
  • 1 pack of pudding powder, banana flavor
  • 250 g butter
  • 70 g powdered sugar
  • 400 ml milk
  • Cake icing, chocolate

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Beat egg whites with water and sugar until stiff. Stir in egg yolks, then add the flour, cornstarch and baking powder. Pour the batter into a 26 cm dish lined with baking paper and bake at 150°C fan for approx. 25-30 minutes – then let cool. Make a pudding from the milk and pudding powder – let cool. Beat softened butter until fluffy, then mix in the icing sugar and stir in the cold pudding a spoonful at a time. Cut the cake in half, spread 1/3 of the custard on one layer, slice the bananas and arrange on top, spread another 1/3 of the custard on top, lightly press the cake lid on top, cover the surface with chocolate icing, spread a thin layer of custard and cover with almond flakes, decorate the top with the remaining custard and serve with Mikado sticks.
