  • 2 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • 200 g sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar

  • 2 m.-sized eggs
  • 200 g dark chocolate, finely chopped, or chocolate chips
  • 250 g butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours 40 minutes

Orange chocolate cookies

Mix the flour with the sugar, vanilla sugar, orange zest, baking powder, cornstarch, and eggs. Then add the previously warmed butter and continue kneading until a smooth dough forms. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips. Form the finished dough into even logs about 3 cm in diameter and flatten slightly. They should then be about 5 cm wide and 1 cm high. Now the logs need to be refrigerated for about 3 hours. Then use a knife to cut about 0.5 cm thick strips and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Be careful not to pack them too close together, as the cookies will still rise. Bake in a preheated oven (180 degrees fan-assisted oven) for about 10 minutes. The cookies should be golden brown when cooked.
