Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g ladyfingers
  • 125 g butter
  • 1 pack of cream cheese (Philadelphia)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 500 ml cream
  • 2 packs of cream stiffener
  • 1 jar sour cherries
  • 250 ml cherry juice
  • 1 pack of cake glaze, red
  • 1 tbsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 45 minutes

For the base, crush the ladyfingers. Melt the butter and mix well with the ladyfingers. Spread the mixture into a springform pan and press down firmly. Layer the creams: For the first layer, mix the Philadelphia cheese with powdered sugar and 1 sachet of vanilla sugar. For the second layer, whip 250 ml of cream, 1 sachet of vanilla sugar and 1 sachet of cream stiffener until stiff. For the third layer, make drained cherries. For the fourth layer, whip 250 ml of cream, 1 sachet of vanilla sugar and 1 sachet of cream stiffener until stiff. Finally, bring 250 ml of cherry juice, 1 sachet of cake glaze and 1 tbsp of sugar to a boil and slowly pour it over the last layer. This will form a beautiful structure that looks like brains. Hence the name Brain Cake. Refrigerate the cake for 1 day.
