Lemon hearts with glaze

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 egg yolks
  • 125 g powdered sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • ½ lemon(s), grated peel, or 1 lemon zest
  • 225 g almonds, grated
  • 1 pinch of baking powder
  • Almond(s), peeled, halved, for decoration
  • n. B. Rum, 54%
  • lemon juice
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Beat the egg yolks with the powdered sugar and vanilla sugar until frothy. Add the remaining ingredients. Roll out the dough thinly and cut out hearts using a heart-shaped cookie cutter. Place the hearts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the middle rack of a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for 10-12 minutes. Mix the powdered sugar with rum and/or lemon juice to make a glaze. After baking, glaze each heart and decorate with 1/2 peeled almond.
