Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g candied orange peel, diced
  • 100 g almonds, ground
  • 50 g powdered sugar
  • 1 m.-sized egg white
  • 5 drops of bitter almond flavor
  • 2 drops of flavoring (arrack flavoring)
  • 2 tbsp Amaretto
  • some powdered sugar for the work surface
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 1 tsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Finely chop the candied orange peel and add it to a saucepan with the remaining ingredients. Heat while stirring until a glossy mixture forms. Allow the mixture to cool slightly. Place the mixture on a work surface dusted with powdered sugar and form into strands with a diameter of 1 cm. Cut these into approximately 5 cm long sticks and let them dry overnight. Decoration: Finely chop the chocolate and melt it with the oil over a bain-marie. Dip the ends of the sticks into the chocolate mixture and let them dry on a wire rack.
