  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 3 tbsp brown sugar

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

Crispy Christmas biscuits, cookies with cocoa crust

For the topping, mix the cocoa and sugar and sprinkle on the tabletop, a cold baking sheet, or the worktop. Mix all the ingredients for the dough. Form the dough into a roll about 4 cm in diameter. Roll in the topping until the entire roll is covered and nothing remains. Place the roll in the refrigerator for 1 hour to chill. Preheat the oven to approximately 200°C. Cut slices about 0.5 cm thick from the roll. Place them on the baking sheet with some space between them and bake for about 15 minutes. I only know this recipe from my grandmother, who always bakes them at Christmas time. If these cookies actually have a different name, please don’t scold me!
