Malt beer goulash

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g goulash, mixed
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 onions
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • ½ liter meat broth
  • ⅛ liter malt beer
  • 3 tbsp sauce thickener (classic dark roux)
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly caraway, ground
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Brown the goulash in hot oil. Peel the onions, slice them into thin strips, add them, and fry. Add the tomato paste, sprinkle with paprika, and sauté briefly. Add the meat broth and malt beer, bring to a boil, and simmer covered over medium heat for about 1 hour 30 minutes. Stir in the roux and simmer for 1 minute. Season to taste with salt, pepper, paprika, sugar, and caraway seeds, if desired.
