Instructions
Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour
Sheet cake with whipped cream and ladyfingers
Mix butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, egg yolks, salt, lemon juice and lemon zest until fluffy, stir in the flour and baking powder, and finally fold in the egg whites. Place a piece of baking paper on a baking tray, spread the mixture on top and bake at 160°C (fan oven) for approx. 20 to 25 minutes, then allow to cool. Bring the orange juice and sugar to the boil and reduce the vanilla pudding. Cool while stirring so that a skin does not form. Then spread the cooled orange pudding on the cooled base. Whip the cream with cream stiffener until stiff, spread it on the pudding layer, briefly dip the ladyfingers on one side in the orange juice and rum mixture, and layer them nicely next to each other on the whipped cream. Finally, melt the chocolate coating and use a spoon to run threads diagonally over all the ladyfingers. Chill to keep warm because of the whipped cream.
