Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 5 m.-sized apples
  • 10 tbsp apple juice
  • ½ lemon(s), the juice
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • ½ pack of pudding powder, vanilla flavor for cooking
  • 250 ml milk
  • 125 g cream
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Place 2 tablespoons of sugar, a cinnamon stick, and apple and lemon juice in a saucepan. Peel and core the apples, and slice them thinly. Add them to the pan immediately to prevent them from browning. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 5 minutes. Cool and remove the cinnamon stick. Make a pudding from the milk, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and the milk. Cover with plastic wrap and let cool. Stir the pudding until smooth and carefully fold in the stiffly whipped cream. Ladle the apple compote into bowls and drizzle with the vanilla cream. Mix 1 tablespoon of sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle over the dessert.
