Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g butter or margarine
  • 125 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 125 g flour
  • 50 g cornstarch
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 100 g marzipan
  • 100 g almonds (flaked almonds)
  • 700 g plum(s), halved

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

simply delicious with marzipan

Preheat oven to 170°C. Make a batter from the first seven ingredients. Grate the marzipan into the batter using a grater and fold it into the batter. Transfer to a springform pan lined with baking paper and smooth it down. Arrange the halved plums on top of the batter in a shingle pattern and sprinkle with flaked almonds. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 60-70 minutes. Test with a skewer and cover with aluminum foil if the batter is getting too dark. Once the cake is finished baking, remove it from the oven and sprinkle with sugar.
