Spicy chicken schnitzel

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 chicken schnitzel
  • 200 ml Hungarian-style paprika sauce
  • 1 cup of light cream
  • 200 ml milk (1.5% fat)
  • 1 tsp sambal oelek
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red
  • 1 onion(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 50 minutes

Wash and divide the chicken schnitzels and place them in a baking dish. Dice the bell peppers and onions and add them to the dish. Mix together the milk, paprika sauce, sambal oelek, and crème légère and pour over the schnitzels. Let it sit in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 200°C for 10 minutes. Braise the schnitzels on the middle shelf for 40 minutes. Meanwhile, cook rice according to the package instructions (I usually use basmati rice) and serve with the dish.
