Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g beef, cut into cubes
  • 2 large onions
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 liter of broth
  • 800 g potatoes
  • 500 g carrot(s)
  • 200 g apples
  • 80 g gherkins
  • salt and pepper
  • Parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Dice the onions and briefly fry them with the meat cubes in oil. Add the tomato paste and top up with the broth. Cook for about 30 minutes. Slice the potatoes and dice the carrots. Add both and cook for another 15 minutes. Finally, add the sliced ​​apples and diced cucumbers to the stew. Let the dish simmer. Season with salt, pepper, and parsley to taste.
