Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 large onion(s), chopped
  • 300 g minced meat
  • 3 m.-sized potatoes, quartered
  • 1 small white cabbage
  • 2 m.-sized carrot(s)
  • n. B. Water, approx. 1 – 2 l
  • 1 tbsp, sautéed caraway seeds, whole
  • 1 tsp, heaped stock powder
  • some salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Sauté the chopped onion in a pot until translucent and add the minced meat. Season with salt and pepper. You can add a little more salt and pepper to the minced meat; it will disappear later in the soup. Peel and quarter the potatoes, cut the cabbage and carrots into bite-sized pieces, and add to the fried minced meat. Add enough water (about 1-2 liters) to just cover everything. Add the caraway seeds and stock, season with salt and pepper if desired, and simmer for about 30 minutes. This is also great for singles; you can eat it for two days and freeze a good portion.
