super delicious recipe, not only for the Christmas season

Prepare dough from butter/margarine, sugar, flour, baking powder, and egg yolk. Roll out thinly and cut out shapes. Beat egg whites and spread them on the cut-out pretzels, e.g., using a piping nozzle. Then sprinkle the almonds and sugar powder on top. Line a baking tray with baking paper, place the finished pretzels on top, and bake in a preheated oven at 175 degrees Celsius for about 15-20 minutes. The egg whites should start to brown. Depending on the size of the cutter, this amount makes 80-100 pretzels (about 4 baking trays). These pretzels are always a favorite at Christmas or birthdays. They’ve been a hit in our family for years.
