Nut crunchy sticks

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g wheat flour
  • 40 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 140 g butter, cold
  • 70 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 g hazelnuts, chopped

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

not too sweet, quick to make

This quantity makes approx. 1 baking tray. For the shortcrust pastry, mix the flour, ground hazelnuts and sugar and crumble into small pieces with the butter by hand. Add 1 egg and knead everything into a dough. Now form a long, thin roll and cut this into equal-sized pieces (mine are approx. 8 cm long). You can of course also form the sticks individually or even think of a completely different shape! Prepare two deep plates and line a baking tray with baking paper. Now roll the sticks first in a beaten egg and then in the chopped nuts. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees top/bottom heat for approx. 20-25 minutes, or until the desired browning is achieved.
