Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 50 g butter
  • 2 tbsp apple juice
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 100 g sugar
  • 60 g flour
  • 75 g almonds, sliced
  • 25 g almonds, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Melt the butter. Stir in the apple juice, vanilla sugar, and sugar. Remove from the heat and stir in the flour. Carefully fold in the flaked almonds and chopped almonds. Let the dough rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Place a teaspoon of dough onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper and press flat. Leave about 10 cm between each heaping to allow them to spread. Bake in a preheated oven (200°C, gas mark 3) for about 10 minutes. Let the coins cool slightly on the hot baking sheet, then carefully remove them from the sheet and let them cool completely.
