Trumpet clams in white wine sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 kg mussel(s) (trumpet mussels)
  • 1 jar white wine, dry
  • 1 Pepper
  • Salt
  • Pepper, freshly ground white
  • ½ bunch parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Wash the mussels thoroughly several times. Finely chop the onion and garlic. Heat the olive oil in a pan and sauté until the onion is translucent. Season with salt and pepper, add the deseeded and chopped chili peppers, and pour in the wine. Add the mussels and steam for about 15 minutes, until all the mussels have opened. Stir in the chopped parsley and serve. This dish is delicious with bread for dipping, as well as with linguine or spaghetti. But never without dry white wine.
