Banana curd

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g quark (low-fat quark)
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 4 banana(s), ripe
  • some sweetener (a few drops)
  • possibly milk
  • possibly lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 8 hours; Total time approx. 8 hours 15 minutes

Whip the cream in a bowl with a mixer; it should no longer be runny, but not quite thick either. Add the quark and mix. Peel the bananas and chop them up and add them to the quark, adding a little sweetener to taste. Mix everything thoroughly. If the quark is still too thick, add a little milk. Tip: I personally don’t mind the brown color the quark takes on. But to counteract this, you can stir in a little lemon juice. The quark tastes best when left to stand overnight, as this allows the sweetness and flavor of the bananas to fully develop.
