Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 200 g butter
- 100 g sugar (candied sugar)
- 1 egg(s)
- 2 tbsp rum
- 200 g flour
- ½ tsp cardamom
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1 pinch of nutmeg
- 200 g hazelnuts or walnuts, ground
- 100 g rock candy (Grümmelkandis)
- n. B. chocolate glaze
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 day 35 minutes
Christmas cookies
Cream the butter until fluffy, gradually add the sugar, egg, and spices, then knead in the flour, nuts, and ground nuts. Shape the dough into round logs and refrigerate overnight. Cut the logs into approximately 0.5 cm thick slices and bake at 180-200 degrees Celsius for 15-20 minutes. After cooling, you can cover half of the cookies with chocolate icing, if desired.
