Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 2 garlic cloves, grated
- 15 g ginger, grated
- 30 g sugar
- 300 g plum(s) (plums, pitted and halved)
- 100 ml red wine
- salt and pepper

A kind of compote for meat dishes with dumplings
Caramelize the sugar in a pan, add the garlic and ginger, and sauté briefly. Add the plums and deglaze with red wine. Simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper, and add a little more sugar if desired. Serve immediately! The special touch – at Christmas, add a pinch of cinnamon for the perfect finishing touch – tastes wonderfully Christmassy!
