Kohlrabi vegetables alla grandma

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 kohlrabi
  • 1 cube of stock
  • butter
  • Flour
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • paprika
  • curry
  • Condensed milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

First, peel the kohlrabi, halve it, and slice it. Put the kohlrabi in a pot and cover it with water, add the stock cube, and cook until the kohlrabi is still firm to the bite. Then place the kohlrabi in a sieve, reserving the stock. Put butter and more in a pot – make a roux, and add the kohlrabi stock. The sauce will be thick or thin, depending on your needs. Season the sauce to taste with salt, pepper, paprika, curry, and a little condensed milk. Add the kohlrabi back to the sauce, stir, and let it simmer for a while. Done! The kohlrabi can now be eaten with potatoes and, in most cases, with meatballs.
