Carrot bouquet

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g carrot(s)
  • 1 pack of bacon
  • ½ bunch parsley
  • Salt
  • Pepper, white
  • Sugar
  • butter
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the carrots and cut into equal-length and wide sticks, each about 5 mm wide on each side, the same length as the beans. Simmer the carrot sticks in boiling salted water with a pinch of sugar for 5 minutes; they will still be undercooked. Drain the carrot sticks and let them cool slightly. Arrange them in bunches and wrap them tightly in the bacon slices. Gently fry the carrot bouquets in a mixture of oil and butter at medium heat. When the bacon has the right color, the bouquets are ready. Serve them on the plate and sprinkle with a touch of ground white pepper and chopped parsley.
