Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 175 g honey
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch of allspice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon, level
  • 250 g flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder, level
  • 100 g almonds, grated or slivered
  • Jelly (blackcurrant jelly)
  • Dark chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Heat the honey with sugar, salt, and oil, let it cool, then stir in the egg, cocoa, spices, and flour mixed with baking powder. Finally, stir the almonds into the dough. Let it rest in a cool place for 1 hour, form dough rolls with a diameter of 3 cm, and bake on a greased baking sheet for 20-30 minutes at 175-195°C. Cut the cooled rolls into triangles, cover with hot jelly. Let it cool overnight, and cover with chocolate coating the next day. Tastes absolutely delicious!
