Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 250 g potato flour
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 375 g butter
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 bag(s) ground almonds
  • Grease for the tray

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

An old recipe from my mother. These cookies are delicious not just at Christmas.

Combine flour and potato flour in a mixing bowl. Place the sugar in the center. Spread the butter in small pieces on top. Add the egg, vanilla sugar, and almonds. Mix everything with the dough hook of a hand mixer until a dough forms. Then let it rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour to firm up. Use a pastry press or a meat grinder with a cookie cutter to form letters or hearts. Place on a greased or, better yet, lined baking sheet. Bake on the middle rack at 200°C for about 10 minutes. Keep an eye on it, as every oven is different.
