Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter
  • 250 g flour
  • 50 g sugar
  • 3 tbsp wine
  • 100 g almonds, chopped
  • 4 egg yolks
  • Flour for the work surface

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours 10 minutes

Knead the butter, flour, sugar, and wine into a dough. Add a little more flour if needed. After letting it rest in the refrigerator for 2 hours, dust the work surface generously with flour. Roll out the dough, not too thinly, and cut out wreaths. Regular cookie cutters will work too, of course. Preheat the oven to 160°C with fan. Brush the wreaths with a little egg yolk and scatter the chopped almonds on top. Place the finished cookies on a baking tray. Place the tray on the second rack from the bottom and bake for about 10 minutes until golden brown. Makes about 60 cookies.
