Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 500 g beef
  • 125 g veal
  • 125 g pork
  • 3 bay leaves
  • pinch(s) of salt
  • 2 large onions

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Finland, holiday dinner

Dice the meat and onions and place them in a deep roasting pan. Add the spices and enough water to just cover the meat. Cook at 200°C, stirring occasionally, until the meat is tender and the broth is browned. Serve with potatoes, gherkins, and beets. Tip: If you don’t have enough meat, you can also stretch the dish with liver or kidney. You can also add swedes instead of some of the meat.
