Meatballs in pumpkin sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 2 onions, diced
  • curry powder
  • salt and pepper
  • ½ liter broth
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 1 m.-sized pumpkin(s) (Hokkaido)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Asian-inspired

Combine the minced meat with a finely diced onion, salt, pepper, egg, breadcrumbs, and curry powder to taste. Form small balls and fry them on all sides in a non-stick pan. Remove the balls. Sauté the second diced onion until translucent, then add the diced pumpkin. Sauté for 5 minutes and add the curry powder. Pour in the broth and cook the pumpkin until soft. Purée the sauce and add the cream. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and sugar. Serve with noodles, rice, or fresh white bread!
