Lizzy's Bread Soup

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 1 cup vegetables, large (mixed vegetables such as carrots, peas)
  • 3 tbsp broth, granulated
  • ½ liter of water
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • some butter, for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Bread with a difference and extremely tasty

Heat the water. Add the vegetables and bring to a boil. When it’s boiling, add the granulated broth. Season with salt and pepper to taste (a generous pinch of each). While the vegetable broth is simmering, heat the butter in a pan. Cut the bread into cubes or tear it into small pieces, then fry it in the melted butter until crispy. Finally, dice the onion and add it to the pan with the bread. Fry briefly. Ladle the soup among the bowls and, finally, add the bread and onions.
