Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 20 g clarified butter
  • 1 can sauerkraut
  • 8 pieces of bratwurst, small or soy sausages
  • 100 ml cream or milk
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

can be modified with soy sausages

Slice the 8 sausages diagonally, fry on all sides in a non-stick pan, and remove. Sauté the diced onion and potatoes in the frying fat for 10 minutes, adding a little clarified butter if desired. Only when the potatoes are tender, add the can of sauerkraut. Deglaze everything with the cream and/or milk, add 1 tablespoon of mustard, season with salt, pepper, and sweeten to taste. Let stand for another 10 minutes.
