Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 170 g flour (corn flour)
  • 115 g flour (wheat flour)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 peach(s) (halves from the can)
  • 175 ml buttermilk
  • 1 large egg(s)
  • 30 g butter, melted
  • ½ tsp almond extract
  • Oil, for frying
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • 150 g powdered sugar
  • orange juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Mix the two types of flour with the sugar and salt. Cut three peach halves into small cubes. Mix the buttermilk with the egg, add the melted butter and almond extract, and stir in. Briefly stir in the peach pieces with a wooden spoon, then add this to the flour mixture. Stir until everything is well combined. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan. When it’s the right temperature, drop heaped teaspoons of batter into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown on one side before turning. Once the other side is the same color, remove them with a ladle and place them on a few layers of kitchen paper to drain. Dust them immediately with powdered sugar and place them on a platter or plate. Once the batter is cooked, mix the powdered sugar with orange juice until it’s thick and runny. Add this to the balls and dip them in the powdered sugar glaze. You can also drizzle the balls with the icing and it should definitely be eaten with them.
