Bulgur pan with peppers and peas

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 cans of peas, approx. 400 g each
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 bell peppers, red
  • 1 lemon(s), juice
  • 1 tbsp mint, dried
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tsp tahini, as needed
  • 1 tbsp hummus, as needed
  • 300 g bulgur

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Dice the onion and garlic. Next, prepare the paprika paste. To do this, put the paprika, lemon juice, and spices in a blender. If you need more creaminess, add tahini and hummus. Blend everything until almost no chunks remain. Meanwhile, cook the bulgur according to the package instructions until the desired consistency is reached. Drain the peas and set aside. Fry the onions, garlic, and mint in a pan with heated oil until translucent. Then stir in the cooked bulgur. Then pour the paprika paste over the mixture and add the peas. Stir everything again and fry a little longer until everything is sufficiently warm.
