Ingredients for 8 servings:
- 1 kg onion(s), very small, peeled
- Fat for the mold
- 1 tbsp vegetable broth, instant
- Pepper, from the mill
- 150 ml red wine
- 1 bay leaf
- 30 g butter
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes
Party hit
Place the onions close together in a greased, ovenproof dish and season with pepper. Pour in the wine and add the bay leaf. Top with butter flakes and bake at 170°C (350°F) for about one hour and 40 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and bake for another 20 minutes, until the onions are glazed. Serve the onions cold or warm with baguette.
