Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g leaf spinach
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 100 ml water
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 450 g whole milk yogurt
  • 50 g sour cream
  • Salt
  • Pepper, white

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Trim the spinach leaves, wash thoroughly, and drain. Peel and finely dice the onions. Cut the spinach leaves into 1-centimeter-wide strips. Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions. Add the turmeric and fry for half a minute. Add the spinach, top up with water, and simmer for about five minutes, until the spinach is soft. Drain in a colander and let cool. Peel the garlic and press it through a press. Mix with the yogurt and sour cream. Fold the spinach into the yogurt. Season with salt and pepper, and serve.
