Paprika sauce with spiced speculatius

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 bell peppers
  • ½ m.-sized onion(s)
  • 4 spiced speculatius cookies
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp, heaped salt
  • 1 tsp paprika powder, hot
  • ½ liter of water
  • 1 tbsp, heaped cornstarch
  • 250 g pasta

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Roughly dice the onion and bell pepper. Heat the oil in a pan and brown the onion with the sugar. Then add the bell pepper and sauté briefly. Deglaze with water, season with salt, and add paprika. Simmer the vegetables for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Dissolve the cornstarch in a little cold water. Just before the pasta is finished cooking, add the cornstarch to the vegetables. Crumble the speculatius biscuits into the sauce just before serving.
