Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 40 g butter
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
- 1 egg(s)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 80 g flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- possibly fat, for the waffle iron
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
- Milk, as needed
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Beat the butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla sugar until very fluffy. While stirring constantly, add the egg and cinnamon. Combine the flour and baking powder and stir in alternately with the milk (the batter should be thick). Preheat the waffle iron to medium heat. Once it has reached the required temperature, pour a small ladleful of batter into the waffle iron and bake. When the waffle is golden brown, remove it from the waffle iron and dust with powdered sugar to serve. This recipe yields about 4 waffles. Tip: Whole-food lovers can replace the flour with whole-wheat flour and the sugar with a tablespoon of honey. The whole-wheat flour will require a little more milk. Important: The whole-wheat batter must rest for half an hour (whole-wheat batter needs to swell before use).
