Applesauce – Oatmeal – Muffins

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 90 g oat flakes, fine
  • 125 ml milk
  • 90 g flour (wholemeal flour)
  • 100 g flour (white flour)
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch(s) nutmeg, freshly grated
  • 140 g brown sugar
  • 80 ml oil (corn germ oil)
  • 250 g applesauce
  • 1 egg(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Mix the oats with the milk and let it sit for 10 minutes. Combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl. In another bowl, add the egg and mix. Next, add the sugar, oil, and finally the applesauce. Mix everything well with a whisk, then add the oats and stir in. Then add the dry ingredients and gently fold them in, just until moistened. Bake the muffins in a preheated oven at 180°C for approximately 20-25 minutes.
