Sauerkraut cake with smoked pork

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g pizza dough, preferably made from rye flour
  • 500 g sauerkraut
  • 250 g smoked pork loin cut into strips
  • 3 spring onions, cut into rings
  • 1 cup sour cream (herb curd also works)
  • 3 eggs
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Press the dough into a round shape and slightly raise the edges. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Mix the sour cream, eggs, and spices well. Spread the sauerkraut, smoked pork, and onion rings on the dough, pour the egg custard over it, slightly extend the circles over the cake, and bake for 35 minutes, until the edges are crispy.
