Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g kale
  • 1 bunch of soup greens, cleaned, cut into rings and cubes
  • 400 g potatoes, diced
  • 4 slice(s) smoked bacon, cut into three pieces
  • 2 onions, diced
  • 1 ½ liters of broth
  • Salt and pepper, ground white
  • lard

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Wash the kale several times and drain, wilt in boiling salted water, drain again, then roughly chop. Heat the lard in a roasting pan, brown the bacon slices on both sides, then remove. Briefly sauté the soup vegetables and potato cubes in the frying fat. Add the kale and bacon, top up with broth, and simmer covered for 40 minutes. Season to taste and serve.
