Potato and wild garlic gratin

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g potato(s), waxy
  • 100 g wild garlic
  • 100 g mountain cheese or Gruyère cheese
  • 30 g cream cheese
  • 150 ml cream
  • some salt
  • some black pepper
  • some nutmeg
  • 20 g butter
  • some caraway, ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Preparation: Peel and wash the potatoes, cut into thin slices, and pat dry. Wash the wild garlic leaves, drain well, and then cut into thin strips. Grate the cheese. Whisk the cream cheese with the cream, a little salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Preheat oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Preparation: Grease a baking dish with butter. Layer the potato slices in the dish in a brick-like pattern. Season with salt and caraway seeds. Mix half of the grated cheese with the wild garlic and spread on top. Pour the cream and cream cheese mixture over the top. Sprinkle with the remaining grated cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes. Serve with any kind of green salad.
