Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 300 g potatoes
- 120 g flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 onion(s)
- 250 ml milk
- 1 tsp, heaped baking powder
- salt and pepper
- Paprika powder, sweet
- 2 tsp dill
- 100 g North Sea crabs
- 200 g smoked salmon
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour
Boil the potatoes in salted water, drain, mash, and let them cool. Finely chop the onion. Blend the potatoes and onion with all the other ingredients with a hand mixer until smooth. Let the batter rest for about 30 minutes. Then bake the batter in batches in the waffle iron. This amount makes about 7-8 waffles in a Belgian waffle iron. Top the finished waffles with crab and/or salmon. Tip: Garnish with tartar sauce, horseradish, cherry tomatoes, parsley, dill, etc., as desired.
