Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 1 kg onion(s), red, cut into rings
- 3 tbsp marmalade, orange
- 1 chili pepper(s), red (optional) cut into fine strips
- 1 tbsp oil, neutral
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
tastes good with lamb as well as with (raw milk) cheese
Sauté the sliced onions until lightly browned, about 30 minutes. Stir frequently to prevent sticking. Then add the jam (and the chili strips, if desired) and let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. It will keep hot in a screw-top jar in the refrigerator for a few weeks.
