simple, tasty and impressive

Slice the onions into strips and fry in a pan until lightly browned. You can sprinkle a pinch of sugar over them for a nice color. In the meantime, wash and chop the bell peppers and mushrooms. If using canned mushrooms, drain well. Stir the bell pepper and mushroom mixture into the onions and fry. Reduce the heat if necessary so the vegetables stay warm but don’t turn black. At the same time, fry the minute steaks unseasoned in another pan. Toast the toast and place two slices next to each other on a plate. When the meat is cooked, place three slices on each slice of toast and arrange the onion mixture evenly on top of the meat. Sprinkle with coarse pepper or American steak pepper and spread the herb butter on top, if desired. A green salad or cucumber salad goes very well with this dish.
