Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 8 slices of toast
- 3 eggs
- 250 g bacon cubes
- 4 slices of Gouda
- 4 slices of processed cheese
- 4 bell peppers, grilled
- 20 g pearl onions
- 50 g mushrooms, from the jar or can
- 3 tbsp hamburger sauce
- 3 tbsp garlic sauce
- pepper
- Paprika powder
- garlic powder
- Turmeric powder
- some chives
- some sunflower oil or vegetable cream
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Chop the peppers, halve the pearl onions, drain the mushrooms, and chop them up a bit if desired. Heat a little oil or vegetable cream in a pan. Add the vegetables to the hot pan and add the bacon bits. Cover everything with a lid and fry for a few minutes. Then add the eggs and mix everything well. Season with pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and turmeric powder, if desired. Turn off the heat and remove the pan from the stove. Prepare the bread. If you like, you can trim off the crust. Place 4 slices of bread in a square on a microwave-safe plate. Spread a little hamburger sauce all over the bread. Then place 4 slices of cheese on top. I used regular Gouda for the first layer. Pour the filling all over the bread and spread it out. Drizzle with a little garlic sauce. Finally, place the remaining cheese slices on top. Here, I used processed cheese slices. Sprinkle with some chives. Finally, place the last 4 slices of bread on top. Microwave everything for 2-3 minutes. This can also be done in an oven at approximately 160°C (320°F) on the second rack from the top on an ovenproof plate or baking sheet. Approx. 615 kcal per serving.
