Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 cucumber(s)
  • 1 melon(s) , (Galia melon)
  • 8 slice(s) ham, air-dried
  • 200 g natural yogurt
  • 100 g crème fraîche
  • 3 tbsp vinegar, calamansi balsam, alternatively:
  • lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp olive oil with lime
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • ½ bunch of dill
  • Salt and pepper, from the mill

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the cucumber, halve it lengthwise, and scoop out the core with a spoon. Then slice the cucumber or slice it into strips. Halve the melon and scoop out the seeds with a spoon. Remove the rind and use a melon baller to scoop out 12 balls (or, if you want to make things a little easier, simply cut it into cubes). Cut the rest of the melon into thin slices or slice them into strips. Mix the yogurt, crème fraíche, vinegar, oil, mustard, salt, and pepper to make a sauce. Finely chop the dill, add it to the sauce, season to taste, and mix with the chopped melon and cucumber. Thread the melon balls and ham slices onto 4 skewers in a wavy pattern, with a melon ball between each one, and serve with the salad.
